This article critically reviews literature on the intersection of Islam, SDGs, and Islamic philanthropy, finding that most scholars view SDGs as compatible with Islamic teachings. Islamic principles, such as the eradication of poverty, social justice, and economic equity, can support SDG goals. Practically, research has tackled challenges like standardizing metrics for impact measurement. In terms of Islamic philanthropy, studies highlight its potential contributions to SDGs but also note institutional limitations and coordination issues. Awalnya, saat olahraga bersepeda, saya hanya bawa uang secukupnya. Tak pernah bawa dompet. Tidak enak saja kalau celana tipis dompet tebal. Tetapi, karena bersepeda hampir tiap hari, saya jadi kepikiran: kalau terjadi sesuatu di jalan, apa nggak bahaya kalau tidak bawa identitas begitu? Bapak saya dulu mengalami kecelakaan tunggal, terkena stroke saat naik motor. Kasus orang meninggal karena bersepeda juga tidak hanya sekali terdengar. Kita tidak pernah berharap mengalami peristiwa semacam itu kan? Tetapi nasib orang siapa tahu? Apes tidak pakai kalender. Solusi saya bukan bawa dompet dan kartu identitas, tetapi membuat kartu emergency. Sebab, yang dibutuhkan orang pertama-tama adalah nomor telpon yang bisa dihubungi. Kalau kita jatuh, pingsan misalnya, ada nomor darurat yang bisa orang hubungi. Selain nomor istri saya, saya cantumkan juga nomor polisi (110), nomor ambulans (119), dan nomor darurat nasional (112).
