Tadi malam ia main ke rumah, dan saya tanya apa dia tidak takut? Dia bilang, keluarganya di Capetown sempat telpon dan panik, tapi ia sendiri merasa nyaman saja. "It's not the first time I come here and it is also not the first bombing I happen to be here. My first visit to Indonesia was in 2002, just months after the Bali bombing. Ah, kebetulan saja dia orang yang sudah akrab dengan kita. Nggak takut apa-apa untuk datang dan tinggal di Indonesia. Tetapi bagaimana dengan orang lain? Pernyataan majalah the Economist barangkali cukup berimbang: bom tak akan mengganggu tetapi tentu menodai citra damai Indonesia:
